Sarkar & Bhattacharya: Library of Congress Subject Headings …This study shows that most users use general topic orsubject-based terminologies rather than expert'svocabulary. Forty nine percent (49%) of booksbibliographic records where experts and users use at leastone common vocabulary for describing the books. In caseof comparison between different subfields of MARC 650field and tags it was found that subfield $a are mostfamous to the users and the popularity of other subfieldsare as follows $v, $z, $x. This study also shows that usersare more focused on title base keywords rather thanexperts for describing the book's catalogue. Jaccardsimilarity coefficient between two data sets shows thatvery little similarity (33.33%) presents between social tagsand descriptors.metadata analysis in the Field of Economics.
