RBU Journal of library & Information Science, V. 23, 2021Figure 12: India and its’ Collaborative CountriesFigure 12 simply showing that India is the highestcontributor. Total 16277 articles contributed by the Indianauthors and among them, 14573 is the Single CountryPublications (SCP) which means all the authors belongingfrom India, and 1704 is the Multiple Country Publications(MCP) which means these articles published in acollaborative manner with Indian authors and authors fromother countries.Figure 13: USA and its’ Collaborative Countries52https://lisrbu.wixsite.com/dlis/rbu-journal-of-lis

Nowadays, the whole world is busy finding outthe solution to cancer. India is also one of them. Thegrowth of publication in Indian journals is very interestingbut in 2020, the growth of publication slightly decreasedprobably due to the pandemic situation. We all know thatCovid-19 dangerously stops all the activities throughoutthe world. Simply, it affected the academic publicationfield also. It is also important that the authors from variouscounties (USA, UK, French, Canada, Australia,Switzerland, Brazil, Spain, Russia, China, etc.) contributedtheir scientific production in Indian journals. The authorsfrom the world famous universities and researchinstitutions have contributed their research outputs inIndian journals (i.e. International Agency for Research onCancer, France (68 papers and 20,219 citations),University of Oxford, UK (25 papers and 17,683citations), Johns Hopkins University, USA (127 papersand 7,812 citations), University of Michigan, USA (58papers and 5,983 citations), Harvard University, USA (61papers and 4,539 citations), National University ofSingapore, Singapore (95 papers and 3,518 citations),King Saud University, Saudi Arabia (206 papers and 2950citations), University of Queensland, Australia (28 papersand 2580 citations), University of Toronto, Canada (69papers and 2553 citations), National Taiwan University,Taiwan (17 papers and 2133 citations), University ofPittsburgh, USA (61 papers and 2022 citations) Universityof Indonesia, Indonesia (13 papers and 1794 citations),University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong (21 papers and1663 citations), University of Colorado, USA (35 papersand 1518 citations), University of Washington, USA (39papers and 1424 citations), The Johns Hopkins BloombergSchool of Public Health, USA (13 papers and 1092citations), Karolinska Institute, Sweden (29 papers and1011 citations), King's College London, UK (35 papersand 1005 citations) etc.). In this study, it is a veryinteresting fact that most of the foreign authors andinstitutions contributed very few papers but they havereceived more and more citations. Actually, they havecontributed very quality scientific productions in acollaborative manner. They collaborated with Indianauthors and authors from other countries to snatch out thebest result on cancer research. Collaborations amongauthors, organizations, or countries extend the possibilitiesof discovery of new ideas and motivate the researchers tomaintain a relation and develop a scientific network(Dusdal & Powell, 2021). So, the primary advantages ofcollaboration are sharing and transferring of skills andknowledge as well as research equipment, development ofa worldwide scientific network, more and more visibilityof scientific output (Gazni, Sugimoto, & Didegah,Mapping world scientific collaboration: authors, institutions, and countries, 2012), encourage in creativity,it widens to access a wider array of techniques forresearch, deeper research, higher impact of publicationsetc. (Global Academy Jobs.com, 2020). So, it is alwaysaccepted that only collaborative research can give moreand more satisfactory results and quality production. Andagain, it is proved that medical science is the field, wheremost of the authors do their research in a collaborativeway.References53https://lisrbu.wixsite.com/dlis/rbu-journal-of-lisAmerican Cancer Society.
