The Wortley Arms in Wortley<br />
village has long been renowned<br />
for its fine dining and gastro-pub<br />
cuisine. But since taking over the<br />
reins of the pub a few years ago,<br />
owner Jamie Ellis and his team<br />
have worked tirelessly to enhance<br />
the food offering to a higher level.<br />
The award was announced the<br />
week before Christmas, so a busy<br />
festive period put celebrations on<br />
hold for a little while. But the AA<br />
rosette is a huge endorsement for<br />
the Wortley Arms team and will<br />
help put them on the food map as<br />
a destination location for anyone<br />
searching for AA rosette winning<br />
restaurants in South Yorkshire.<br />
AA rosettes are hard to achieve<br />
and are given to restaurants that<br />
achieve standards that stand<br />
out in their local area. Food is<br />
deemed to be prepared with care,<br />
understanding and skill, using good<br />
quality ingredients.<br />
Jamie said: “I couldn’t be<br />
prouder of the team for achieving<br />
this. My head chef Jamie Taylor<br />
and his kitchen team have worked<br />
incredibly hard this last year and<br />
it’s great to see it rewarded. A<br />

and the front of house team for<br />
delivering great service to our<br />
