In an article written by Adam Hayes on 8 June 2021 published
on www.investopedia.com, Hayes wrote - smart home refers to
a convenient home setup where appliances and devices can be
automatically controlled remotely from anywhere with an internet
connection using a mobile or other networked device. Devices in a
smart home are interconnected through the internet, allowing the
user to remotely control functions such as security access to the
house, temperature, lighting, and a home theater.
Smart home devices are connected and accessed through one
central point - a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or game console. It
can control door locks, televisions, thermostats, home monitors,
cameras, lights, and even appliances such as the refrigerator. The
user can install the system on a mobile or other networked device
and create time schedules for specific changes to take effect.
Some smart home appliances come with self-learning skills to learn
the homeowner’s schedules and make adjustments as needed.
Smart homes enabled with lighting control allow homeowners to
reduce electricity use and benefit from energy-related cost savings.
Some home automation systems alert the homeowner if any motion
is detected in the home when they’re away, while others can call
the authorities - police or the fire department - in case of imminent
situations.
Wireless CCTV helps keep the house safe, especially when no one
can be shared via an application and detect sound and motion with
real-time alerts. Generally, it has a system to prevent unwanted
visitors or even has two-way audio to communicate with anyone
near the camera. The Nest Cam CCTV can detect moving objects
to check if they are human or not, and can also save images onto
the Cloud where users can look back up to 30 days.
August Smart Lock is an intelligent door lock system. Door locks
can be opened from an application on a smartphone and shared
