A husband and wife
constantly fought
with each other. Their
confrontations always
included screaming
and yelling that could
be heard well into the
night.

One night in the middle
of an argument the
wife yelled, “When I
die, I will dig my way
up out of my grave.
I will come back and
haunt you for the rest
of your life!”
The woman’s threats
could be heard from
several nearby houses.
The neighbors
feared the woman...
and she liked the fact
that she was feared.
The woman died shortly
thereafter of a heart
attack. The husband
had a closed casket at
the burial and decided
to celebrate by throwing
a big backyard
bbq for the entire
neighborhood.
One neighbor came
up to the husband
and said, “Aren’t you
afraid that your wife
may indeed dig her
way up and out of the
grave to come back
and haunt you? We all
heard the threats she
made when she was
still alive.”
“Let her dig. I had her
buried upside-down.”
