vegetable cart and took off.<br />

A tiny heart-shaped island<br />
in the Adriatic Sea<br />
has become a holiday<br />
hit for St. Valentine’s<br />
Day after being discovered<br />
on Google Earth.<br />
Even the uninhabited<br />
island’s owner didn’t<br />
realize how perfectly<br />
heart-shaped the<br />
island off the Croatian<br />
coast was until he<br />
was swamped with<br />
requests from lovers to<br />
stay there.<br />
“It has been incredible.<br />
We think it is the most<br />
perfect heart-shaped<br />
island in the world,”<br />
said Vlado Juresko,<br />
whose family owns<br />
the 130,000 square<br />
yard islet of Galesnjak,<br />
hastily renamed “Lovers’<br />
Island”.<br />

A Brief History of Sabattus St Roopers<br />
The Sabattus Street Lewiston Roopers Beverage and Redemption<br />
stands as a testament to the beloved Steve Roop's vision and<br />
dedication. In 1992, Steve transformed a tiny 1,000 square feet space<br />
that most had written off to being a shack, into the first Roopers<br />
Redemption Center. When interviewed for the Roopers 30th Year<br />
Anniversary Video, Steve recalls: “I had a nice building in Lewiston, I<br />
thought ‘I think I’ll make a nice redempt out of it.”<br />
The reality was that Steve possessed a vision that despite the initial<br />
perception of an old, rundown building on Sabattus Street, he built<br />
into a reality and he did it gracefully while serving the community and<br />
helping those in need around him.<br />
Stephanie St Laurent humorously reflects in the video, "We joke<br />
around. I swear it was like a shack on Sabattus Street, and at the time,<br />
I remember walking through, and the floors were kind of crooked.”<br />
Still, Steve opened the redempt and he was doing Shaws pickups on<br />
Saturdays and driving out to Bath and Brunswick, bringing back and<br />
dropping off bottles, and then he did his rounds in Lewiston all in his<br />
little box truck. At night he would count bottles and he worked<br />
building the store that eventually would turn into the beloved<br />
Roopers that we know today. To this day, Sabattus Street remains the<br />
busiest store in the fleet with the most loyal customer base and an<br />
exceptional staff who carries on Steve’s legacy on a daily basis.<br />
