Day 1: Fly to Zimbabwe via Johannesburg<br />
Fly overnight from London (regional<br />
connections available) to Victoria Falls,<br />
Zimbabwe, via Johannesburg, South Africa. (N)<br />
Day 2: Victoria Falls<br />
Arrive and proceed to your hotel <strong>for</strong> a freshen<br />
up, be<strong>for</strong>e your special welcome by a guest<br />
speaker ahead of your dinner. Overnight at the<br />
Pioneers Lodge (or similar). (D)<br />
Day 3: Victoria Falls<br />
This morning, visit a village approximately<br />
20km from Victoria Falls town where you can<br />
Rock paintings, Matobo National Park<br />
witness daily life unfold. This is a chance <strong>for</strong><br />
a rewarding cultural exchange as well as an<br />
insight into rural Zimbabwean living. Dine at a<br />
traditional local restaurant be<strong>for</strong>e returning to<br />
your hotel. Later, a sundowner cruise on the<br />
Zambezi provides the cherry on top. Overnight<br />
at the Pioneers Lodge (or similar). (B, L)<br />
Day 4: Victoria Falls<br />
Embark on a private guided tour of Victoria<br />
Falls – whose local name aptly translates to<br />
'The Smoke that Thunders'. Whilst regaling you<br />
with interesting facts and figures, your guide<br />
will ensure you have plenty of opportunities to<br />
photograph this iconic UNESCO World Heritage<br />
Site. Continue to the Elephant’s Walk shopping<br />
centre and art village <strong>for</strong> a special behindthe-scenes<br />
visit of the Ndau Studio, meeting<br />
its local artists and craftsmen. Later this<br />
afternoon, stop by the famous Victoria Falls<br />
Hotel <strong>for</strong> afternoon tea on the Stanley Terrace<br />
with a view of the Victoria Falls Bridge.<br />
Nibble on savouries and cakes with your<br />
favourite tea. Return to the hotel with your<br />
evening at leisure. Overnight at the Pioneers<br />
Lodge (or similar). (B)<br />
Day 5: Hwange National Park<br />
A four-hour drive delivers you deep inside a<br />
private concession in Hwange National Park’s<br />
northern reaches. This region is renowned<br />
<strong>for</strong> wildlife viewing opportunities, as you<br />
will discover with days of thrilling safaris ahead<br />
of you. Overnight at Nehimba Lodge<br />
(or similar). On selected departures, guests<br />
stay at Camelthorn Lodge and experience the<br />
magical Elephant Express train. (B, L, D)<br />
Days 6 & 7: Hwange National Park<br />
Spend the next two days enjoying exclusive,<br />
tailor-made wildlife viewing. All the diversity<br />
of Hwange's fauna and flora is within easy<br />
reach, and no two days are the same.<br />
Embark on day and night safari drives –<br />
the latter a chance to spot the nocturnal<br />
