Uganda is a wildlife wonderland, home to<br />
the likes of hippos, hyenas, tree-climbing<br />
lions, countless rare birds and – most<br />
famously – mountain gorillas. This tour of<br />
Uganda’s national parks puts our primate<br />
cousins front and centre, with guided gorilla<br />
trekking and chimpanzee walks, on top of<br />
un<strong>for</strong>gettable safari experiences on land<br />

Day 2: Entebbe<br />
Transfer to Best Western Hotel (or similar) <strong>for</strong><br />
the night. (N)<br />
Days 3 & 4: Murchison Falls National Park<br />
Drive south to Murchison Falls, Uganda's<br />
largest national park. This haven <strong>for</strong> wildlife<br />
is home to the waterfall of its namesake,<br />
where the Nile crashes spectacularly through<br />
a narrow gorge. Your second day features<br />
morning and evening safari drives, as well as<br />
a Nile river cruise to the falls and past wildlife<br />
such as crocodile, hippo and elephant. Spend 2<br />
nights at Paraa Lodge (or similar). (B, L, D)<br />
Days 5 & 6: Kibale<br />
Take a short flight to Kasese airstrip and<br />
transfer to Kibale National Park. This<br />
enchanting place has one of the most varied<br />
tracts of tropical <strong>for</strong>est in Uganda, home<br />
to prolific birdlife and butterflies, <strong>for</strong>est<br />
elephants, bushbuck, Harvey’s red duiker,<br />
giant <strong>for</strong>est hog, African civet and a sizeable<br />
population of chimpanzee – the star attraction.<br />
On your second day, a guided trek will lead<br />
you to some of the 5,000 or so chimpanzees<br />
living in Kibale. Spend an un<strong>for</strong>gettable hour<br />
watching them play, groom, eat and climb. Stay<br />
<strong>for</strong> 2 nights at Ndali Lodge (or similar). (B, L, D)<br />
