THE IBIS ROOM
Formerly Still Life Cocktail Bar, the Ibis Room
opened in 2021, making for a newer addition to
the nightlife scene in Warner Robins. They provide
a welcoming and social atmosphere where guests
can mingle over mixers and enjoy the evening.
As you enter the bar, you’re greeted by Jeeves. Colorful
mood lighting and immaculate décor surround you as you
order drinks. The tables are surrounded by artwork from
around the community, and the lounge draws inspiration
from a vintage speakeasy.
The bartenders are highly trained and will make just about
anything. They’re trained to follow good recipes to the tee
and use high-quality liquor, ensuring your drink is made perfectly
the first time.
For 2023, highly recommended from their new menu is the
Corpse Reviver #2: a mixed cocktail of gin, aperitif wine and
a spritz of absinthe floated on top. The bar’s owner, Carmen
Antonio, is also partial to their Negroni, and also recommends
the Lemoncello and Meloncello.
Make no mistake; the bar isn’t a run-of-the-mill place to enjoy
drinks. The layout is perfectly engineered to promote socializing
instead of watching screens.
“Instead of small tables, we have tall tables, so you can
communicate with the bar people,” Antonio explained. “Instead
of having tables all over the dance area, we have couches, and I
have a Sonos system, which is really nice. It goes from the front
of the house all the way to the back.”
The bar also features special events, bands, comedians and is
pet friendly as well.
You could say owning businesses runs in the family. Her son
owns a couple of bars and a restaurant in Seattle. Antonio’s
brother inspired her to open the bar, and her son designed
the atmosphere, laying the foundation for it as it began to run.
Over the year, the bar has drawn in many locals, something
Antonio is proud of, and its location, while secluded from
other bars in town, is seen by her as an opportunity to make
Commercial Circle a downtown development of sorts.
She envisions restaurants nearby and several more bars
coming to the area, making the location a place where you
can spend the entire evening taking in the nightlife.
