When you picture in your mind the things that make up <strong>Houston</strong><br />

<strong>County</strong>, what do you imagine?<br />

Maybe you think of the various roads that we all consider main<br />

thoroughfares: Highway 41, Watson Boulevard, Highway 96,<br />

Russell Parkway. Maybe you think of a business, a park or a<br />

specific group of people. Robins Air Force Base or even the<br />

<strong>Houston</strong> <strong>County</strong> School District are strong contenders as well.<br />

But the creatively inclined know that <strong>Houston</strong> <strong>County</strong> is a place<br />

of art. Murals and art pieces dot the landscape, and <strong>Houston</strong><br />

<strong>County</strong> can lay claim to not one, not two, not even three, but<br />

four community theatres.<br />

These theatres, some new, some old, are points of culture in<br />

<strong>Houston</strong> <strong>County</strong>. They tell stories they believe will draw an<br />

audience, and one day the records of their shows could help<br />

those in the future to better understand us today.<br />

If you’re looking to take in a little of that culture, here’s what<br />

you need to know:<br />

Warner Robins Little Theatre is <strong>Houston</strong> <strong>County</strong>’s oldest, currently<br />

operational center for performing arts. Vice President Bill Felton<br />

told us all about it.<br />

“We started back in the early 60s,” Felton said. “It started with<br />

a group of people who met in the living room of Cheryl Bayer<br />
