EMPOWER
GIRLS
Our Empower Women and
Girls programme aims to
inspire women and girls
to be active, feel stronger
and more confident in
their ability to take part
in physical activity and
sport and eliminate gender
stereotypes.
As part of the
programme, we’ve been
working with Astrea
Academy putting on
workshops and physical
activities for female
students. Working with
us has been Sheffield’s
own Paralympic Gold
Medallist, Grace Clough,
who also teaches PE at the
Academy.
Alongside Foundation
staff, United Women’s
players Ellie Wilson and
Naomi Hartley have been
engaging with the students
at Astrea on a regular
basis.
