Goalkeeper Peter<br />
Litchfield was <strong>Preston</strong>’s<br />
‘Player of the Year’ in<br />
1983-84. Initially with<br />
Droylsden, he joined<br />
<strong>Preston</strong> in January 1979<br />
and made his League<br />
debut in place of Roy<br />
Tunks their 1-0 victory<br />
at home to Chelsea in<br />
February 1981. He then<br />
contested a first-team<br />
slot with Martin Hodge<br />
and missed just one<br />
match in 1983-84, playing<br />
107 League games for<br />
<strong>Preston</strong> before moving to<br />
newly-promoted Bradford<br />
City in July 1985. Everpresent<br />
in 1985-86, he<br />
was loaned to Oldham<br />
Athletic prior to joining<br />
Scunthorpe <strong>United</strong><br />
in July 1989. He has<br />
settled in the Bradford<br />
area and worked as a<br />
sales rep for a company<br />
producing cables.<br />
GEOFF TWENTYMAN<br />
Central defender Geoff<br />
Twentyman missed just<br />
two matches for <strong>Preston</strong><br />
in 1984-85. The son of<br />
the former Carlisle and<br />
Liverpool defender of the<br />
same name, he played<br />
for Formby and Chorley<br />
prior to joining <strong>Preston</strong> in<br />
August 1983. He replaced<br />
Tommy Booth in the<br />
heart of their defence<br />
and netted four goals<br />
in 98 League games<br />
before moving to Bristol<br />
Rovers in August 1986.<br />
Ever-present in three<br />
successive seasons, he<br />
captained them to the<br />
Third Division title and<br />
Leyland/DAF Cup final in<br />
1989-90. He joined Yate<br />
Town in February 1993,<br />
then helped Linfield clinch<br />
the Irish League title and<br />
has become the main<br />
sports presenter for BBC<br />
Radio Bristol.<br />
JACK KING<br />

Central defender Jack<br />
King featured in <strong>Preston</strong>’s<br />
2014-15 promotion<br />
campaign. He played<br />
for Didcot Town, then<br />
Brackley Town before<br />
returning to Didcot in<br />
November 2005 and<br />
starring as they won<br />
the Hellenic League<br />
Premier Division title<br />
in 2005-06. Helping<br />
Farnborough Town to<br />
win the Southern League<br />
Premier Division title in<br />
2009-10, then Woking to<br />
win the Conference South<br />
title in 2011-12, he joined<br />
<strong>Preston</strong> in July 2012. He<br />
also appeared in midfield<br />
and netted seven goals in<br />
78 League outings prior<br />
to joining Scunthorpe<br />
<strong>United</strong> in May 2015.<br />
Moving to Stevenage<br />
initially on loan in August<br />
2016, he later played for<br />
Ebbsfleet <strong>United</strong>.<br />
