Deployment Model
The service supports a number of deployment scenarios. These deployment scenarios are in line
with the needs and size of the Service Consumer. These include:

Full Central Managed Service delivery
Local Instance – deployment of a local instance of the service(s) with a centralised management
function
Design and delivery of a fully distributed service deployment to support a multi-site instance
with centralised and shared service management model.
All service capabilities can be delivered as a high availability capability in support of the required
service availability.
Next Generation Networks Telephony
Cassidian are engaged with the PSN Tier 1 suppliers of MPLS and SIP trunk gateways to provide
solutions that make use of next-generation transport layers and PSN services. As part of this Service
Capability Cassidian comply with the requirements documented in the PSN Technical Domain
Description v 2.0 for Telephony Service Provider Obligations and the Cryptographic Framework v 0.1.
Cassidian shall make use of IP and SIP technology within the PSN environment to deliver services to
the Service Consumers, using the inherent Transport Layer Security (TLS) within the network to provide
secure connectivity. Cassidian also deploys Session Border Controllers (SBC) to provide demarcation
between the internal systems and external SIP networks to provide access control and protocol repair.
