For IP extensions within the Traditional Telephony Service the service management boundary of the
Service is up to the LAN interface on the Telephony Switch (for those sites which have a switch capable
of supporting IP handsets).
For those sites which are being served by the Next Generation Telephony Service the service
management boundary is up to the LAN interface of the on-site router. The Customer side LAN
infrastructure is outside of the scope for the Service and Logicalis is not responsible for any loss of
service due to the performance of the LAN unless the on-site LAN is supported by Logicalis.
Only the handsets or other terminal equipment provided by Logicalis are the responsibility of
Logicalis. Cabling, links, mod taps, extension leads and splitters are the responsibility of the Customer to
provide and manage. For moves and changes the Customer is responsible for all on site cabling and
patching, unless otherwise agreed.
Block Wiring & Cabling
Logicalis provides full routine and remedial maintenance services for the telephony block wiring at
Sites where it has been agreed, on a Site by Site basis, that such maintenance is provided.
Logicalis, at the request of the Customer, carries out a survey of the block wiring at any Site or
prospective Site.
Logicalis:

documents the survey fully and specify any remedial or upgrade work necessary to bring the
wiring up to current technical and health and safety standards, and
provides the Customer with a quotation to carry out the remedial work and the survey.
