Fue un verdadero descubrimiento para mi conocer a este artista Thomas
Hirschhorn y su forma de entender el arte, de trabajar con las ideas,
buscando algo concreto sin perderse en otros planteamientos, no me costó
ver que tenía mucho que aprender de esta persona como artista y si, un
poco comprender el sentido del taller, pese que solo era ver si estaba la
energía en lo presentado me parecía un filósofo del arte abriendo
caminos. que no es fácil.
Agradezco a todas las personas que hicieron posible este taller y que yo
tuviese la suerte de poder participar.

It was a real discovery for me to meet this artist Thomas Hirschhorn and
his way of understanding art, of working with ideas, looking for
something concrete without getting lost in other approaches, it was not
hard for me to see that I had a lot to learn from this person as an artist
and yes, and to understand the meaning of the workshop, although it was
only to see if there was energy in what was presented. It seemed to me a
philosopher of art opening paths, which is not easy. I thank all the people
who made this workshop possible and that I was lucky enough to be able
to participate.

Cuando Thomas me informó de este proyecto, la mera originalidad del
diseño ya me interesó; siendo una manifestación artística, no importaba
el resultado estético sino la capacidad de provocar sentimientos en el
observador. Inmediatamente me puse a diseñar un objeto para el
encuentro. La sesión, que, en principio, parecía muy larga, resultó ser
absolutamente amena y muy interesante. He de decir que me sorprendió
el criterio, para mí un poco estricto en principio de Thomas para evaluar
las propuestas, pero conforme se iban presentando los proyecto todas nos
hicimos más ‘estrictas’ también. En conclusión, una excelente iniciativa
que nos demostró que todas somos ‘artistas’ si somos capaces de generar
inquietud con nuestros trabajos que al final es la primera premisa del
arte, provocar sentimientos. Felicitaciones a Thomas y a todas las
personas involucradas en el proyecto y muchas gracias por la invitación.

When Thomas informed me of this project, the mere originality of the
design already interested me; being an artistic manifestation, it was not
the aesthetic result that mattered, but the ability to provoke feelings in the
observer. I immediately started to design an object for the meeting. The
session, which at first seemed very long, turned out to be absolutely
enjoyable and very interesting.
I must say that I was surprised by Thomas’ criteria, for me a little strict
at first, to evaluate the proposals but as the projects were presented, we all
became ‘stricter’ too. In conclusion an excellent initiative that showed us
that we are all ‘artists’ if we are able to generate inquisitiveness with our
work, which in the end is the first premise of art, to provoke feelings.
