PARTY “¡Y A!”
Durante la preparación del taller crítico, se dio carta blanca al
artista para organizar una fiesta con motivo del 4º aniversario de
la apertura de Bombas Gens Centre d’Art, coincidiendo con la
preparación del segundo Fieldwork. La fiesta “¡Y A!”, celebrada el
10 de julio de 2021, fue un encuentro inclusivo, familiar y poético
que estuvo lleno de sorpresas: el artista intervino el centro con
enormes banderolas que plasmaban sus reflexiones y pautas
sobre el arte (como la inclusión, la generosidad y la
espontaneidad); jóvenes y profesores del Área Social de la
Fundació Per Amor a l'Art, la Agrupación Musical de Benicalap y
amigos de la institución realizaron diversas actuaciones
musicales, tanto en las salas del centro de arte como en el jardín;
el ‘equipo de bienvenida’ –una idea propuesta por Hirschhorn y
formado por el propio artista junto a Sandra Guimarães, Susana
Lloret, y otros directores de la institución– recibió
personalmente a todos los invitados.
Al acabar la visita, como un sencillo y simbólico gesto de
agradecimiento y despedida, el artista repartió girasoles,
cerrando así una singular experiencia que celebró la
universalidad del arte y contó con la asistencia de 1009 personas.
En esta celebración, el ‘amor al arte’, el ‘misterio del arte’ y el
‘poder del arte’ fueron los ejes centrales, y la música convirtió al
museo en un espacio lleno de vida, a pesar de las circunstancias
y restricciones ocasionadas por el COVID.
While preparing the critical workshop, the artist was given carte
blanche to organise a celebration on the occasion of the fourth
anniversary of the opening of the Bombas Gens Centre d’Art,
dovetailing with the preparation of the second round of
Fieldwork. The party “¡Y A!”, held on 10 July 2021, was an
inclusive, family-oriented, poetic encounter filled with surprises:
the artist decorated the centre with huge banners which captured
his reflections and buzzwords on art (like inclusion, generosity
and spontaneity); youths and teachers from the Social Area of the
Fundació Per Amor a l'Art, the Agrupación Musical of Benicalap
and friends of the institution offered different musical
performances in both the art centre’s rooms and in the garden;
and the ‘welcome team’ –an idea that Hirschhorn proposed,
comprised of the artist himself along with Sandra Guimarães,
Susana Lloret and other directors of the institution– personally
welcomed all the guests.
When the visit was over, the artist handed out sunflowers as a
simple, symbolic gesture of gratitude and farewell, thus closing a
unique experience which celebrated the universality of art and
was attended by 1,009 people.
The ‘love of art’, the ‘mystery of art’ and the ‘power of art’ were the
cruxes of this celebration, and music turned the museum into a
space brimming with life, despite the circumstances and
restrictions caused by COVID.
