How do you find a balance between
competing and enjoying the pure love
of mountain biking? I think if your not
loving racing then it’s probably not the
sport for you. For me a race week is
just another week where I get to ride my
bike fast and have a lot of fun. For me I
feel like I already have the right balance
especially with adding in the freeride stuff
I do outside of racing.
Any future goals or ambitions you
have in the world of mountain biking?
Would love that rainbow jersey one
day haha! And to of course win the
overall would be huge. I also just want
to be a well respected rider within the
industry and someone that the younger
generation of girls look up to.
How do you approach the process
of analysing your performance and
identifying areas for improvement?
There’s always room for improvement.
I’m constantly wanting to be better and I
feel like with more experience over time
the more things you see can help you
when it comes to racing.
What does the does the rest of 2023
-2024 hold for Jess Blewitt? The rest
of 2023 sees Jess competing in the full
uci mtb downhill World Cup rounds and
also attending Red Bull Hardline. 2024
will be another big year of worlds cups
and potential other events here and
there.
