The Composers Showcase at Myron’s Cabaret<br />
Jazz at the Smith Center is one of Las Vegas’s<br />
hidden gems.<br />
This monthly event is always the<br />
same - yet different.<br />
The Showcase features original<br />
songs or music composed by locals<br />
or visitors. and played, sung, or<br />
performed by known artists and/<br />
or those who are or should be<br />
headlining shows.<br />
Composer/arranger/singer/<br />
entertainer/musical director Keith<br />
Thompson brings a roster of talent<br />
that often has the audience on<br />
its feet in appreciation. Broadway<br />
veteran Keith’s personality and welcomes kick off the upbeat evenings<br />
with humor and good vibes.<br />
That twinkle in his eye sends a signal - Come along with me. We’re<br />
gonna have a good time.<br />
The Wednesday evening event (9:30 pm) is a mix, mingle and<br />
reunion for entertainment industry people. Some come to present<br />
original material, many to see and support each other.<br />
Some in hopes of convincing Keith that they have something to bring<br />
to the table – or in this case – the stage. Numerous regular supporters<br />
attend to simply sit back and enjoy.<br />
Others are there to be with performers they admire and enjoy. Myron’s,<br />
a 240 seat venue, is the perfect setting for this unique gathering.<br />
A few who have enriched The Composers Showcase with their talent<br />
include Clint Holmes, Dennis Blair, Elisa Fiorillo, Travis Cloer, Vita<br />
Corimbi Drew, Giada Valenti, Chadwick Johnson, Kelly Clinton-Holmes,<br />
