都 係 其 中 一 個 主 要 嘅 戰 場 , 你 見 到 嗰 啲 玻 璃 嘅 位 置 呢 , 其 實 嗰 陣 時 係 圍 滿 晒
遮 , 即 係 為 咗 擋 水 砲 擋 催 淚 彈 擋 其 他 嘢 ; 但 係 嗰 陣 時 嘅 水 砲 其 實 係 射 到 上 嚟 呢
個 位 置 。 講 緊 嗰 段 時 間 之 後 嘅 呢 個 位 置 , 你 見 到 其 實 喺 樹 底 下 唔 係 嗰 啲 石 屎
地 , 而 係 啲 泥 嚟 , 你 見 到 而 家 係 搵 石 仔 鋪 住 咗 , 以 前 係 無 嘅 。 其 實 好 後 期 一 段
時 間 嗰 啲 泥 都 係 藍 色 嘅 , 即 係 講 緊 俾 嗰 啲 藍 色 嘅 水 砲 染 劑 去 染 咗 色 , 當 然 後 尾
為 咗 粉 飾 太 平 就 搵 啲 白 色 嘅 石 仔 冚 住 佢 當 無 嘢 發 生 過 。 呢 個 位 置 其 實 亦 都 係 嗰
陣 時 其 中 好 主 要 , 好 主 力 嘅 前 線 位 置 。
This site is at one corner of the lawn. It overlooks the junction with Austin Road,
which was the main battleground. Armoured vehicles and water cannon trucks
were stationed here. Because it was one of the main battlegrounds, at the time we
covered the glass wall with umbrellas to block the water cannon, tear gas and other
things. The water cannon reached all the way up here. At that time the ground around
the tree was earth, not pebbles like you see now. The soil turned blue for a long time
after the siege because of the dye used in the water cannons. Later, to cover it up,
they covered everything with white pebbles, as if nothing had happened here. As I
said, this was one of the most important frontline positions at the time.
