呢 度 係 連 接 主 校 園 同 Z Core 嗰 條 天 橋 , 亦 都 係 圍 城 初 期 其 中 一 個 據 點 。 因 為 呢
條 天 橋 下 面 係 連 接 去 其 它 地 區 嘅 主 要 交 通 樞 紐 , 喺 黎 明 行 動 嗰 陣 都 係 啲 手 足 傾
出 嚟 , 決 定 去 堵 塞 呢 條 路 嘅 交 通 , 形 成 三 罷 。 早 期 嘅 手 足 亦 都 喺 呢 條 橋 上 面 駐
紮 , 因 為 呢 條 橋 比 較 闊 落 , 可 以 擺 到 唔 同 嘅 嘢 , 我 自 己 亦 都 喺 早 期 嘅 時 候 喺 呢
條 橋 擺 吓 圍 住 嘅 嘢 。 基 本 上 自 己 大 多 數 時 間 都 會 喺 呢 條 橋 , 因 為 已 經 擺 晒 有 嘅
物 資 喺 度 , 可 以 令 到 啲 手 足 唔 洗 周 圍 走 , 睇 住 呢 個 據 點 。
喺 早 期 嘅 時 候 都 有 唔 少 警 察 喺 橋 下 面 同 對 面 觀 察 住 我 哋 , 都 有 幾 次 見 到 警 隊 嘅
防 暴 落 咗 地 , 似 係 想 推 進 , 但 對 視 之 後 就 離 開 。 對 於 香 港 人 嚟 講 更 加 印 象 深 刻
嘅 就 係 「 游 繩 逃 生 」 嗰 一 幕 , 亦 都 係 喺 呢 條 橋 度 發 生 。
This is the overpass that connects the main campus to Z Core. It is one of the
defensive points early in the siege. The overpass overlooked major traffic arteries
leading to other districts. During Operation Daybreak, fellow protesters devised
a strategy to block traffic below in order to achieve a society-wide strike. Earlier,
fellow protesters had also set up a base on this overpass because it was wide and we
could store a lot of different things here. I myself set up blockades here early on. We
spent most of our time on this overpass because we had all the supplies we needed.
The protestors didn’t have to go anywhere else to get supplies, they just had to stand
guard here.
In the first few days there were lots of police watching us from below and across the
street. On a few occasions, we saw anti-riot police on the ground, seemingly about
to move forward, but after locking eyes with the protesters, they moved away. More
memorable for Hongkongers was the scene of protesters climbing down the ropes to
escape - this is where it happened.
