An imbalance in Pitta dosha, can lead to health
issues. Physical symptoms of such an imbalance may
include skin rashes, ulcers, acidity, inflammation,
excessive body heat, and heat sensitivity.
Mentally, imbalanced Pitta can result in irritability,
anger, frustration, and a critical nature. In the
seasons of summer and late summer, which are
governed by Pitta energy, Pitta dominant individuals,
or those with a Pitta imbalance, may experience
these symptoms in their mind-body more acutely.
Ayurveda recommends several lifestyle practices to
maintain a harmonious Pitta dosha. Consuming
cooling and hydrating foods, establishing a routine,
engaging in relaxation activities, and adopting a pace
of mindfulness can each contribute to balancing Pitta
energy.
Understanding Pitta dosha allows us to embrace the
transformative power within ourselves. By balancing
Pitta, we can experience optimal digestion, mental
clarity, and vibrant vitality to lead a healthier, more
harmonious life.
