One of the things I love most about Fall is the colour of the
leaves on the trees. I have to say, modestly of course, that I
have one of the most beautiful trees in my front yard. The
leaves go totally red! Once they start falling from the tree, my
granddaughter and I would gather up some of them and put
them in a large round bowl on my dining room table. One
time there was a big bug on one leaf in the bowl and my
granddaughter came running fast towards me yelling,
“Gramma, the leaf had a baby?”
(The unfortunate thing right now is that there are a bunch of
ants circling the tree also thinking it is pretty beautiful)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!
It’s a wonderful time to take note of what we are thankful for.
Sometimes, saying it out loud, writing it down or even just
thinking it reminds us of the blessings we have.
• I am thankful for the GWSA and the partnership with the
City of Guelph.
• I am thankful for the volunteers.
• I am thankful for the people I have met.
• I am thankful for the friends I have made.
• I am thankful for the City staff.
• I am thankful for the Sentinel staff.
• I am thankful for our Welcome Desk.
• I am thankful for the awesome display of quilts and
knitting and creations AND I am thankful that I don’t
have my wallet with me all the time or I would be broke.
• I am thankful for the beautiful displays of photography
and art that are hung in the halls towards our peaceful
Library space.
