Riparian forests<br />
The need for the rational use of natural resources led C.Vale to provide seedlings and<br />
technical assistance for members to foster the recovery of riparian forests and the<br />
conservation of springs. At the same time, an area of 1,500 hectares of reforestation<br />
supplies firewood to supply the industries’ boilers and dryers in the cooperative’s<br />
grain reception units. Chicken producers also use firewood from reforestation to<br />
heat the aviaries.<br />
