Industrial Ethernet FastConnect is a system for fast, easy assembly<br />
of Industrial Ethernet FC cables. The FastConnect stripping<br />
method enables fast <strong>and</strong> easy connection of the Industrial<br />
Ethernet FC cable to the RJ45 connection elements. Terminals<br />
<strong>and</strong>/or network components are connected through TP cord cables.<br />
Using the FC Stripping Tool it is possible to remove the outer<br />
casing <strong>and</strong> the woven shield accurately in a single step. The<br />
prepared cable is connected using the Industrial Ethernet<br />
FastConnect RJ45 Plugs.<br />
The FastConnect RJ45 Plugs enable fast <strong>and</strong> easy fitting of the<br />
FastConnect installation cables in the field. The Industrial Ethernet<br />
FastConnect Stripping Tool for preparing the cable end<br />
(stripping of cable sheath <strong>and</strong> shield in one operation) enables<br />
easy h<strong>and</strong>ling <strong>and</strong> fast error-free contacting of the cable on the<br />
plug-in connector. The plug-in connector has no parts that can<br />
get lost; fitting is thus possible even in difficult conditions.<br />
Another way to switch over RJ45 to the insulation displacement<br />
system is to use the FastConnect Outlet RJ45.<br />

■ Design<br />
Industrial Ethernet FastConnect RJ45 Plugs are available in two<br />
versions:<br />
with 180° (straight) outgoing cable,<br />
with 90° (offset) outgoing cable.<br />
They enable optimum connection of an Industrial Ethernet Fast-<br />
Connect cable to terminals <strong>and</strong> network components. The plugs<br />
have a robust, industry-compatible metal casing that protects<br />
the data communication effectively from interference. Contacting<br />
of the FC cable versions is simple <strong>and</strong> reliable with the 4 integrated<br />
insulation displacement contacts. The stripped end of<br />
the cable is inserted in the raised insulation displacement terminal<br />
<strong>and</strong> the terminal pressed down to make reliable contact with<br />
the conductor.<br />
