OsteoFit
Part of living well with osteoporosis and/or
osteoarthritis involves healthy eating and physical
activity. Physical activity plays an essential role in
the treatment of osteoporosis by ‘stimulating’ or
applying a load on our bones to maintain their
structure and strength. When treating osteoarthritis,
it is important to ensure proper alignment of joints as
well. Exercise and physical activity play a vital role
and contribute to individuals’ overall health and well
-being. Four types of exercise are necessary in the
management of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis:
strength, posture and core stability, balance, and
weight bearing. Join us in this class to get moving,
improve your strength, balance, and posture,
and in turn, reduce your risk of falling.
