JOSH LOWINGER<br />
The National Coordinator oversees and facilitates<br />
collaboration with the 23 <strong>AMSA</strong> Representatives and<br />
Student Medical Society Presidents. Key tasks of the role<br />
include advocating for <strong>AMSA</strong> Reps and Medical Societies to<br />
the National Executive, and relaying information between<br />
the groups and societies. The National Coordinator is also a<br />
part of the National Advocacy Team, which works on<br />
student advocacy on a local, state and national level. For<br />
example, the National Coordinator attended a Canberra<br />
press conference to represent <strong>AMSA</strong>.<br />
Key achievements/highlights of the year include:<br />
National Internships Webinar<br />
Coordinated alongside all MSC chairs with over 650 attendees across the night from all<br />
states and territories, with experts and stakeholders<br />
National Presidents’ Retreat<br />
Inaugural National Presidents’ Retreat held in-person in NSW<br />
Goals:<br />
Facilitating Medsoc president connection<br />
Identifying similar issues faced across universities<br />
Communicating <strong>AMSA</strong>’s advocacy priorities and actions<br />
Strongly helped to connect all medical schools and facilitate collaboration on advocacy<br />
projects, events and a supportive MedSocs community
