IT<br />

ANIRUDH SHETTY<br />
The National IT Officer manages <strong>AMSA</strong>’s website,<br />
database and internal IT systems. They are a point of<br />
contact and support for Event IT officers and work<br />
alongside many teams within <strong>AMSA</strong>. This year, a<br />
major focus of IT was reworking <strong>AMSA</strong>’s services to<br />
ensure all services and subscriptions were as costeffective<br />
and multi-purpose as possible.<br />
A snapshot of tasks completed in the <strong>2023</strong> year:<br />
IMIS<br />
Renewed the IMIS contract (<strong>AMSA</strong> website platform) for the <strong>2023</strong> year and fixed O-week<br />
membership, removed older members from database (~4000 accounts), streamlined the<br />
event creation pipeline<br />
Prepared future website framework because IMIS will not be used in 2024<br />
Created a streamlined Media Release pipeline<br />
Events<br />
<strong>AMSA</strong> event subgroups are were able to extract data from the iMIS platform with little to<br />
no input from the Nat ITO by using their native APIs this year<br />
Restructured the council web app<br />
Onboarded a new deputy ITO (yay)<br />
Created registration for with Council 2/3, IFMSA, RHS<br />
Other<br />
Restructuring the Google Drive in collaboration with the National Secretary to<br />
Restructuring email and groups system to make it consistent within <strong>AMSA</strong><br />
Altering the Mail system to reduce the amount of spam emails sent to <strong>AMSA</strong> volunteers<br />
Setting a new signature system
