AMSA SUMMARY 2023 4 ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS - THANK YOU Thank you to AMSA initiative & representative groups, members of AMSA national executive and volunteers across AMSA who provided written information and/or pictures for this publication. This is the first time an Embolus End-of-Year publication was created. The aim was to create a publication that provided a snapshot of what is AMSA and AMSA 2023 achievements. At the end of this publication is a collation of the Embolus newsletter sent via Mailchimp.
AMSA SUMMARY 2023 6 WHAT IS AMSA? The Australian Medical Students’ Association (AMSA) is the peak representative body for medical students in Australia. We represent over 18,000 medical students and our organisational mandate is to connect, inform and represent the emerging health workforce. AMSA is a not-for-profit, with 5 main branches as shown on the next page. National Executive As shown, AMSA is overseen by the National Executive (who are recruited from across the country). The National Executive is responsible for the management and governance of the organisation. AMSA’S mandate is executed in four primary ways: Advocacy Leadership Research Resources & events More information about the National Executive 2023 achievements can be found on page 8.
