Let the Sunshine In!
Der Opernball 2024 in Hannover stand ganz im Zeichen der bunten und wilden 1960er Jahre
Die Staatsoper Hannover lud ein zu einem alle Sinne
ansprechenden Trip in die Zeit von Woodstock und
Flower Power, von »Make Love Not War« und »I Have
a Dream«. Am 23. und 24. Februar 2024 verwandelte sich
das Opernhaus in ein verspieltes Festivalgelände, mit dem
Lebensgefühl der Hippie-Kultur und dem farbenfrohen und
freiheitsliebenden Spirit des »Summer of Love«.
Getreu dem Motto hatten sich viele Gäste in Schlaghosen und
Fellwesten gekleidet, Plateauschuhe, Blumenketten und flippige
Brillen vervollständigten die Outfits. Die besten Kostüme
wurden bei der Mitternachtsshow im Outfit-Wettbewerb gekürt.
Es war sicher der bisher bunteste Opernball, der in Hannover
je gefeiert wurde. Das neue Konzept, das auch die traditionelle
Balleröffnung durch die Tanzschule Bothe in das
Gesamtkonzept einband, fand beim Publikum großen Anklang.
Bei ausgelassener Stimmung wurde bis spät in die Nacht getanzt
und gefeiert, denn der Marschnersaal war extra in einen
Club verwandelt worden. Schon jetzt wird mit Spannung das eagerly awaited.
Motto des nächsten Opernballs im Februar 2025 erwartet.
Opera Ball in the Spirit of the 60s
The Hanover State Opera invited guests on a trip into the era
of Woodstock and flower power, of »Make Love Not War« and
»I Have a Dream« that appealed to all the senses. On 23 and
24 February 2024, the opera house was transformed into a
playful festival site, with the lifestyle of hippie culture and the
colourful, freedom-loving spirit of the Summer of Love. True to
the motto, many guests dressed in bell bottoms and fur waistcoats,
with platform shoes, flower necklaces and funky glasses completing
the outfits. The best costumes were chosen in an outfit competition
at the midnight show and it was certainly the most colourful
opera ball ever celebrated in Hanover.
The new concept, which also incorporated the traditional ball
opening by the Bothe dance school into the overall concept, was
very well received by the audience. Dancing and partying continued
late into the night in an exuberant atmosphere, as the Marschnersaal
had been specially transformed into a club.
