Germany<br />

Germany remained as <strong>Europe</strong>’s largest business jet market<br />

in terms of fleet size with 481 aircraft, a net decrease of four<br />

compared to the end of 2021. A total of 15 new deliveries were<br />

made, 53% of which were Light jets. There were also 37 pre-owned<br />

additions from both within and outside of <strong>Europe</strong>, while 56 jets left<br />

the country for other <strong>Europe</strong>an operators, or from those outside<br />

of the region. Textron had a 47% share of the German market<br />

at the end of <strong>2022</strong>, led by the Citation 525, 525A and 560XL<br />

aircraft families with a combined 27% of the fleet. There were<br />

103 Bombardier jets with German operators, which comprised<br />

products from the Learjet, Challenger and Global families.<br />

Embraer and Dassault had shares of 16% and 6%, respectively. In<br />

line with the overall <strong>Europe</strong>an fleet trend, Light Jets and Very Light<br />

Jets were the most popular in Germany with a combined 65%<br />

fleet share. Some 89% of business jets based in Germany were<br />

registered locally on the D- register.<br />

The United Kingdom<br />

With a small net deduction of just three aircraft, the United<br />

Kingdom fleet totaled 288 at the end of <strong>2022</strong>. Some 15 new<br />

deliveries were made during <strong>2022</strong>, as well as well as 54 pre-owned<br />

additions, while 72 jets left the UK, with one-third headed for the<br />

United States. Almost half of the new deliveries were Long Range<br />

Jets. Textron and Bombardier had almost equal shares of the UK<br />

market with 78 and 75 aircraft, which equated to 27% and 26%,<br />

respectively. Gulfstream held a 15% fleet share. The UK is also<br />

home to the largest Boeing BBJ1 fleet in <strong>Europe</strong> with 11 aircraft.<br />

Long Range jets were the most popular with 88 aircraft – a 31%<br />

fleet share. Light Jets occupied a 21% share and Medium Jets<br />

17%. There were 15 Corporate Airliners in the UK, more than any<br />

other <strong>Europe</strong>an country. The Long Range Bombardier Global 5000<br />

and 6000 series were the most popular models with a combined<br />

fleet of 27. Only 37% of the UK-based fleet was registered locally,<br />

with 39% on offshore registries.<br />

France<br />

With a net increase of nine jets, the French fleet totaled 217<br />

jets at the end of <strong>2022</strong>. Only two new deliveries were made to<br />

France-based operators during the year – a Falcon 8X and a<br />

Citation M2. The fleet growth was mainly accounted for by 31<br />

pre-owned additions which mainly comprised smaller size jets.<br />

Some 24 deductions across all size categories were recorded<br />

during <strong>2022</strong>. Textron had a 48% fleet share with 105 aircraft<br />

while local OEM Dassault took a 22% share. Embraer had a 13%<br />

share at the end of <strong>2022</strong>. The French fleet, which comprised<br />

almost 50 business jet models, is concentrated on the Very Light<br />

and Light categories, with a combined fleet share of 58% (126<br />

aircraft). The Cessna Citation Mustang is the most popular model<br />

in France with a fleet of 26, followed by the Citation 525 with 23<br />

and Citation 525A with 12. The most popular Dassault product is<br />

the Falcon 7X with a fleet of 12. Some 60% of the France-based<br />

fleet was registered locally, with offshore and other <strong>Europe</strong>an<br />

registries also relatively popular.<br />

Austria<br />

With 174 jets in the fleet, Austria was <strong>Europe</strong>’s fourth largest<br />

market at the end of <strong>2022</strong>. <strong>Fleet</strong> movements during <strong>2022</strong><br />
