A CALENDAR, or better still THE
calendar - one which could be defined
as a paradoxical take on timelessness.
In reality, there is no contradiction
intended, as the images chosen to
represent 2024 have the power to inspire
future generations. Featuring the work
of Ghanaian visual artist Prince Gyasi,
the latest Pirelli calendar builds on the
West African sense of community to
reach a universal thesis that the
superheroes of our time do not follow
the preconceived ideas of society. Nor
do they allow themselves to be
influenced by fame and fortune, but
develop their talents in an authentic way.
They do not realize that they are doing
things out of the ordinary, or that
through simple but incredible gestures,
they are influencing the destiny of the
world by inspiring other people. In the
end, all that seems extraordinary to us
turns out to be... beautifully normal.
