e. Applicants must provide:<br />

i a completed work application form and fee; and<br />

ii evidence of an offer of full-time employment relevant to their course or qualification<br />

(see WD1.5); and<br />

iii evidence that they meet the requirements in WD1(a); and<br />

iv an Employer Supplementary Form (INZ 1113) completed by their employer.<br />

f. Applicants must also provide:<br />

i evidence that the work visa application is being made no later than 3 months after the<br />

end date of their student visa for that course or qualification; or<br />

ii evidence that they hold a 'graduate job search work visa’ (see WD2).<br />

g. A work visa will only be granted where an immigration officer is satisfied that the offer of<br />

full-time employment is one which will provide practical experience relevant to the<br />

applicant's course or qualification.<br />

h. Any work visas granted under these instructions may be subject to any or all of the<br />

conditions as listed at W2.25.<br />

WD1.5 Relevance of qualification(s) to employment<br />

Qualifications are relevant to employment if:<br />

Effective 26/11/2012<br />

a. the major subject area and level of the principal applicant's recognised qualification is<br />

directly applicable to the employment; and<br />

b. the immigration officer is satisfied that the qualification was a key factor in the employer's<br />

decision to employ the principal applicant in that position.<br />

WD1.10 Qualification requirements<br />

Effective 25/07/2011<br />

a. Applicants must have successfully completed a <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> qualification(s) that would<br />

qualify for points under the Skilled Migrant Category (see SM14).<br />

b. The applicant must have completed:<br />

i a qualification at level 7 or above on the <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> Qualification Framework and<br />

studied that qualification in <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> for at least one academic year; or<br />

ii a two year qualification at level 4 to 6 on the <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> Qualification Framework<br />

and studied that qualification in <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> for at least two academic years; or<br />

iii two qualifications at levels 4 to 6 on the <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> Qualification Framework that<br />

each required at least one academic year study in <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong>, provided the second<br />

qualification is at a higher level (two years study in <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> in total).<br />

Note: an academic year means a minimum of two semesters during a period of at least<br />

eight months study.<br />

c. An applicant will be exempt from (b) if they have successfully studied and completed in<br />

<strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> a <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> qualification(s) that meets the requirements of (a) and:
