2. that I have been made aware in writing of the conditions of my employment in the<br />

household of the abovenamed employer and I fully understand and accept these<br />

conditions;<br />

3. that I accept that I may not take any other employment, or enrol in formal study in <strong>New</strong><br />

<strong>Zealand</strong> while employed by the abovenamed employer;<br />

4. that I accept I will not be eligible for residence in <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> on the basis of my<br />

employment as a domestic staff member of any household;<br />

5. that I will leave <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> in accordance with the travel arrangements made for me by<br />

or on behalf of my diplomatic, consular or official employer when I finish working in his or<br />

her household;<br />

6. that my partner and dependent children will not be eligible for visas to <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> on the<br />

basis of their relationship to me.<br />

WI5 Domestic staff of seconded senior executives<br />

Effective 30/07/2012<br />

a. Senior executives of companies or international organisations on secondment to <strong>New</strong><br />

<strong>Zealand</strong> may bring with them their domestic staff, provided that they can show that these<br />

staff members have been an integral part of their lifestyle before coming to <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong>.<br />

b. Domestic staff employed by seconded senior executives must:<br />

i be single and over 18; or<br />

ii if married, have no children or dependants, and both partners must be offered<br />

employment with the same employer; and<br />

iii leave <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> on termination of their employment or when the employer's period<br />

of secondment is complete (whichever comes first), unless applicants qualify to<br />

remain under other immigration instructions; and<br />

iv accept that family members are not eligible for visas to join relatives who are domestic<br />

staff.<br />

c. Applicants must meet the lodgement, bona fide applicant and health and character<br />

requirements as set out at W2.10.1.<br />

WI5.1 Evidential requirements for domestic staff of seconded senior<br />

executives<br />

<strong>Immigration</strong> officers should sight the following:<br />

Effective 29/11/2010<br />

a. a job guarantee, including written confirmation from the employer that the applicant will<br />

be employed and paid in accordance with <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> employment law; and<br />

b. a guarantee of accommodation and repatriation from the employer; and<br />

c. written acknowledgment from the employer confirming that:<br />

i the domestic employee's entry to <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> is approved only to accompany the<br />

family while they are temporarily resident here; and
