FLIGHT MODE ANNUNCIATOR (FMA)<br />

Note: The DH or MDA/MDH value on the FMA is not rounded off : The exact value appears on<br />

the FMA, and is the same value as the one inserted in the MCDU PERF APPR page.<br />

THE FIFTH COLUMN<br />

Displays the engagement status of AP, FD and A/THR in white.<br />

Displays a box around FD for 10 s in case of automatic FMGEC switching.<br />

Displays A/THR in blue when autothrust is armed but not active.<br />

Note: The FMGES synchronizes A/THR modes, AP/FD modes and landing capability to<br />

provide identical information on both PFDs.<br />

MAN<br />

White A/THR is armed, at least one thrust lever is in TOGA detent.<br />

TOGA<br />

White box<br />

MAN<br />

White A/THR is armed, at least one thrust lever is in MCT/FLX detent, with FLX TO<br />

FLX 50<br />

White box temp set at 50 °C. The other thrust lever is at, or below the MCT/FLX detent. 50<br />

is displayed in blue.<br />

MAN<br />

White A/THR is armed, at least one thrust lever is in MCT detent. The other is at, or<br />

MCT<br />

White box below this detent.<br />

MAN<br />

White A/THR is armed, at least one thrust lever is in MCT/FLX detent, with an entered<br />

DTO �<br />

White box derated level.<br />

The other thrust lever is at, or below the MCT/FLX detent.<br />

MAN<br />

White A/THR is armed. This indication is not displayed during TO or GA phases.<br />

THR<br />

Amber box The most advanced thrust lever is above the CL detent, while the other is in CL<br />

detent, or both thrust levers are above CL detent.<br />

THR MCT Green A/THR is active in thrust mode and the most advanced thrust lever is in the MCT<br />

detent (engine-out).<br />

THR CLB Green A/THR is active in thrust mode and the most advanced thrust lever is in the CL<br />

detent.<br />

THR DCLB 1(2) Green A/THR is active in thrust mode. The most advanced thrust lever is in the CL<br />

detent, and the flight crew has selected a derated climb.<br />
