channels. The TV and
radio stations can be update
more comfortably as well as
manual.
EPG
The free programme information
service EPG is your editorially
edited programme guide
directly on your screen. Conveniently
controlled by the remote
control, EPG offers detailed
programme information of dozens
of stations for up to seven
days in advance (if available).
Apart from an overview of current
programmes, displaying
how far the programmes have
already progressed, EPG also
offers an overview of following
programmes. The “Genres
Overview” shows you, when
programmes of a specific genre
will be broadcasted on which
channels.
TechniMatic
The automatic software update
TechniMatic checks, at appointed
times, whether or not
an operating system update is
available and informs the user
at the next boot.

Because via satellite and cable,
programmes are continually
newly released, switched
off or transmitted on other
frequencies, which means that
the programme slots with which
you are familiar can suddenly
become empty, despite the fact
the transmission of the channel in
question continues. At this point,
the editorial DigiButler Service
ISIPRO steps in and ensures the
data received from the HDTV 40
remains up to date. In the event
of new connections, cessations or
frequency changes, the ISIPRO
programme list is comprehensively
updated and distributed via
satellite (provided a feed is available)
or cable. The HDTV 40 automatically
receives the new lists
and informs the viewer, where
applicable, of any changes.
Connections for every
opportunity
In addition to receiving normal
TV and radio broadcasts, photos
and videos from the PC, camera,
console games or music in MP3
format and much more can be
played back using the premium
HDTV television. As the central
item of the domestic electronic
entertainment centre, the Full
HD television offers optimal
connection possibilities. For this
purpose an extensive connection
panel is located on the left
side of the casing. The existing
interfaces facilitate users in connecting
their HDTV 40 model
in every possible arrangement

such that there is no need to think
backward when connecting your
choice of device. Up to eight external
devices, such as e.g. DVD
players, video cameras or PCs
and laptops can be connected
with the HDTV 40, each with its
own sound channel. Those wishing
to transmit analogue video
source signals via the HDTV 40
also have several possibilities
from which to choose. For this
purpose, the S-Video input as
well as three Cinch sockets for
analogue video and sound signals
are available. Likewise, the
HDTV 40 also comes with a component
input for YUV video and
the accompanying audio socket
is included as well. On the underside
of the device, finally, next to
a 15 pole VGA socket for older
computers, we find an obligatory
dual set of SCART sockets.
