Parabolic antennas for receiving digital satellite
transmissions require only minimal diameter and
can be unobtrusively installed on any house roof
with colours that blend in.
effected without problem. As for the
selection of the LNB, it is best to visit a
specialist outlet, because of the large
range of different digital LNB models
for one, two or four connections
or user-network interfaces and also
special quatro LNBs for satellite distribution
systems. Here also, TechniSat
offers components that will stand the
test of time, since they are already set
up for the new HDTV television standard.
Anyone who today exchanges an
analogue LNB for a digital replacement
will no longer need to replace it
in a few years, when the transmission
of broadcasts will be carried out exclusively
in high definition format.
Unobtrusively accommodate
satellite systems
Regardless of whether an apartment
within a housing block with an advantageously
located balcony or a family
home with the possibility of installing
a roof antenna, satellite systems
nowadays need no longer disfigure
buildings. For one thing, the parabolic
antennas used to receive digital
A horizontally installed satellite dish has only
minimal headroom. From the outside, this type of
balcony installation is almost invisible.
satellite broadcasts only require small
diameters. Even with no more than a
TechniSat DigiDish 33, which is a satellite
dish measuring just 33 x 33 cm
in size, when receiving from the orbit
position ASTRA 19.2 ° East, hundreds
of digital TV and radio programmes
can be received*. Moreover, it is possible
to obtain satellite dishes in sympathetic
roof-coloured tones, while
a considerately installed system may
remain invisible to all but the keenest
eye. Under circumstances where
a roof installation is not possible or
advisable, and there is a balcony or
terrace present, with the relevant
free line of sight to the geostationary
satellite located in the sky, namely remaining
in the same position relative
to the earth, there are more aesthetic
solutions. One of these includes the
horizontal assembly of the satellite
dish, whereby the parabolic antenna
can be assembled “head first” whereby
the entire structure requires minimal
headroom. From the outside, this
type of balcony installation is almost
invisible. In particular, in the case of
rented accommodation, it makes
sense to channel the cables required
via the so-called window openings.
TechniSat includes premium and well
tested solutions for this purpose as
part of its product range.
Orientation of the parabolic
antenna
After operation has been carried out
on the satellite antenna, a re-adjustment
may be required. When adjusting
the orientation of the receiving
unit, the services of a specialist onsite
engineer are usually advisable.
This tends not to require excessive effort
or an entire team of persons. The
costs incurred tend to amount- with
under one hour of labour involved-
are within the limit (however, this
may, of course, vary in exceptional
cases).
installation location.
