46 Special Technical TechniRouter All the advantages at a glance: The digital individual cable solution which doesn‘t require a new cable Single cable systems are particularly suitable for homes, where tenancy law or preservation orders mean only a common satellite receiving system is feasible and for which an existing antenna cabling should be retrofitted for the satellite receiver. Full programme selection for all parties concerned The new distribution technology, which TechniSat uses in the TechniRouters, allows all connected receivers to have simultaneous and comprehensive access to the choice of programmes from a satellite, eliminating the need for a separate cable for each connection. Up to eight receivers on one cable harness Via a common cable harness, the TechniRouter can handle the operation of up to eight receivers. In this process, the cable can be run from one socket to another, without having to traverse multiple distributors. The coaxial line, which is required for conventional satellite receiving systems with satblock distribution for each connected satellite receiver (star distribution) is no longer needed. No new cabling required A new cabling system, which is particularly expensive within older buildings or apartment blocks, and thus seldom feasible, is also dispensed with. It is also possible to avoid making deep impressions in the building material, since the existing cable system can be deployed for use with the new equipment. Additional digital services Additional digital services, for example the editorially compiled Electronic Programme Guide by TechniSat and further added value services supplied free of charge via TechniSat TechniMatic (automatic software updates via satellite)* can also be received via the TechniRouter. * when there are in-feeds into individual satellites. Pay-per-view TV capable Pay-per-view TV programmes can also be decoded and viewed using the TechniSat TechniRouter without any additional decoding methods being required as would conventionally be the case. A further advantage of the system, which enables a satellite system already present to be further used without any additional costs. The possibility of making further use of existing cable structures helps to make the switchover to the TechniRouter extremely costeffective. Existing sockets, distributors and boosters must, however, if need be – and if this has not already been done – be replaced for satellite-compatible components (transmission sockets with double DC bypass), however, this is usually problem-free and may be costeffective. No running costs After the initial investment made for the switchover to the satellite receiver, there are no further running costs incurred. A vast choice of TV and radio programmes is made available via satellite. Unlike cable TV, when receiving programmes via satellite, there are no monthly fees chargeable. This means the TechniRouter offers a cost-effective alternative to cable television, which is also usable in older buildings with conventional cabling for analogue television . 16 parties and more With the base model TechniRouter 5/1x 8 G, up to eight parties can share the unit. If eight connections are insufficient, the basic unit can be expanded with the use of a so-called cascade (TechniRouter 5/1x 8 K) to offer a further antenna harness with up to eight connections available. In this way, just one dish can allow up to 16 people to enjoy receiving satellite programmes. The TechniRouter solutions may also be combined with conventional satellite distribution technology. Here, there are a wealth of new possibilities, to combine efficient and cost-effective solutions for all requirements together. TechniRouter ready At the time of writing, TechniSat already offers a wide selection of premium receiving units for programmes, which can be used with the new distribution system. To recognise a receiver and television incorporating a built-in receiving tuner, which is suited for use with the TechniRouter system, this is quite clearly shown by the “TechniRouter Ready” logo. Devices marked with this logo incorporate the DiSEqC control command and are compatible with the – used by the TechniRouter – EU EN 50494 directive. In this way, the costeffective DIGIT MF4-SX offers, among other things, for the access to digital satellite television, also the HDTV hard disc receiver DigiCorder HD S2X from the TechniSat range, offering matchless image and sound quality, optimal user friendliness and premium added value features – and naturally, they are all TechniRouter ready.
TechniSat LCD digital television All TechniSat LCD televisions from the HD Vision and HDTV ranges include top quality multituner technology for all digital means of transmission and moreover receive digital TV and radio programmes via digital cable, DigitalSat and the digital antenna television DVB-T When purchasing always look for this marking Receiving devices, which are compatible for use with the TechniRouter system, can be quite easily recognised by the use of the TechniRouter ready logo. For the use of the TechniRouter, you can continue using your normal Quatro LNB as before. This facilitates an easy and cost-effective satellite retrofitting with the TechniRouter. The new TechniVision 22 ST is also TechniRouter ready. Nothing further lies between you and the enjoyment of all the advantages of digital satellite television with the digital single cable solution requiring no additional new cable.
