Life of an English bibliographer (1831-86). During his librarianship at Cambridge
he rearranged the library, thereby making available many of its treasures formerly
inaccessible. The author shows also the diversity of Bradshaw's researches in
other fields and the influence of his genial personality upon his associates.

best years of his life were given. His private life, with glimpses of old industrial
Lancashire and the Quaker community of seventy years ago, is not neglected.
