Configuring Some <strong>SAS</strong>/ACCESS Products on<br />

UNIX<br />

Starting in <strong>SAS</strong> <strong>9.3</strong>, some <strong>SAS</strong>/ACCESS products are configured as part of the<br />

installation process. In previous releases, you used a separate setup program or<br />

performed manual steps <strong>to</strong> configure these <strong>SAS</strong>/ACCESS products on UNIX:<br />

n <strong>SAS</strong>/ACCESS Interface <strong>to</strong> Greenplum<br />

n <strong>SAS</strong>/ACCESS Interface <strong>to</strong> Microsoft SQL Server<br />

n <strong>SAS</strong>/ACCESS Interface <strong>to</strong> MySQL<br />

n <strong>SAS</strong>/ACCESS Interface <strong>to</strong> Netezza<br />

n <strong>SAS</strong>/ACCESS Interface <strong>to</strong> Oracle<br />

n <strong>SAS</strong>/ACCESS Interface <strong>to</strong> Sybase IQ<br />

When you run the <strong>SAS</strong> Deployment Wizard in <strong>SAS</strong> <strong>9.3</strong>, you can configure these<br />

products with the appropriate database. If you choose <strong>to</strong> defer this configuration until<br />

later, then you can run the <strong>SAS</strong> Deployment Manager <strong>to</strong> configure these <strong>SAS</strong>/ACCESS<br />

products.<br />

Changed Default Port Number for<br />

<strong>SAS</strong>/ACCESS <strong>to</strong> PC Files<br />

<strong>SAS</strong>/ACCESS <strong>9.3</strong> <strong>Software</strong> 105<br />

Starting in <strong>SAS</strong> <strong>9.3</strong>, the default port number for <strong>SAS</strong>/ACCESS <strong>to</strong> PC Files changed<br />

from 8621 <strong>to</strong> 9621. The PCFILES LIBNAME engine and the Import and Export utilities<br />

that use this engine also default <strong>to</strong> 9621.
