n When you register a new s<strong>to</strong>red process by using the New S<strong>to</strong>red Process wizard in<br />

<strong>SAS</strong> Management Console, that s<strong>to</strong>red process can use the new features that are<br />

available in <strong>SAS</strong> <strong>9.3</strong>. If your client does not support new s<strong>to</strong>red process features,<br />

then you might need <strong>to</strong> make your s<strong>to</strong>red processes compatible with 9.2. For more<br />

information about how <strong>to</strong> make s<strong>to</strong>red processes compatible with <strong>SAS</strong> 9.2, see the<br />

Help in <strong>SAS</strong> Management Console.<br />

n S<strong>to</strong>red processes that use the new features that are available with <strong>SAS</strong> <strong>9.3</strong> and that<br />

pass parameters <strong>to</strong> a workspace server now return the program status <strong>to</strong> the client.<br />

Programs that previously showed errors only in the log might now also report errors<br />

<strong>to</strong> the client.<br />

<strong>SAS</strong> BI Web Services<br />

n <strong>SAS</strong> BI Web Services for .NET has been discontinued. <strong>SAS</strong> BI Web Services for<br />

Java supports .NET versions of generated Web services that are migrated from <strong>SAS</strong><br />

9.2 in a way that is transparent for clients.<br />

n You do not need <strong>to</strong> use the Deploy as Web Service wizard <strong>to</strong> make changes <strong>to</strong> a<br />

Web service—any changes take effect immediately. However, the Web Services<br />

Description Language (WSDL) is cached, so you must use ?wsdl&reload=true <strong>to</strong><br />

regenerate the WSDL when you change the s<strong>to</strong>red process.<br />
