JBoss Application Server<br />

Complete these steps:<br />

1 S<strong>to</strong>p the JBoss application server. For more information, see “Starting or S<strong>to</strong>pping a<br />

JBoss Application Server” in Chapter 5 of <strong>SAS</strong> Intelligence Platform: System<br />

Administration <strong>Guide</strong>.<br />

2 Create a backup of each JBoss-home-direc<strong>to</strong>ry/server/<strong>SAS</strong>Servern<br />

direc<strong>to</strong>ry.<br />

a Delete these direc<strong>to</strong>ries and all of their contents:<br />

n JBoss-home-direc<strong>to</strong>ry/server/<strong>SAS</strong>Servern/tmp<br />

n JBoss-home-direc<strong>to</strong>ry/server/<strong>SAS</strong>Servern/work<br />

b Copy the contents of the JBoss-home-direc<strong>to</strong>ry/server/<strong>SAS</strong>Servern<br />

direc<strong>to</strong>ry <strong>to</strong> a <strong>SAS</strong>Servern_premaint direc<strong>to</strong>ry.<br />

On UNIX, enter the following commands at a UNIX prompt:<br />

cd \server<br />

cp -pR <strong>SAS</strong>Server <strong>SAS</strong>Server_premaint<br />

On Windows, copy the files by using Windows Explorer or by entering the<br />

following commands at a DOS prompt:<br />

cd \server<br />

xcopy /E /I <strong>SAS</strong>Server <strong>SAS</strong>Server_premaint<br />

3 Delete all EAR files for all <strong>SAS</strong> Web applications from the JBoss-homedirec<strong>to</strong>ry/server/<strong>SAS</strong>Servern/deploy_sas<br />

direc<strong>to</strong>ry.<br />

4 If you have configured your environment <strong>to</strong> use restrictive policies, then disable<br />

restrictive policy handling for JBoss. For more information, see “Configuring and<br />

Deploying Restrictive Policy Files ” in Chapter 3 of <strong>SAS</strong> Intelligence Platform:<br />

Middle-Tier Administration <strong>Guide</strong>.
