It is with deepest gratitude that I acknowledge here my obligations to D r G. F. Hill,
Keeper of Coins and Medals in the British Museum, and to Mr. E. S. G.Robinson, one of
the Assistants, for the invaluable assistance they have kindly rendered in answering
frequent queries, solving difficulties, and the latter especially for perusing the complete
catalogue, suggesting corrections, attributing many Incerta, etc. I am also indebted to
