This type may be the one referred to bySambon as the work of Kimon. " Garrucci<br />

(PL cm , 1 6) illustrates a didrachm from his own <strong>collection</strong> with thename KIMflN-<br />

If this is genuine, we shall not be rash in regarding the K on our coin as repre-<br />

senting the same name " (G. F. Hill, Num. Chron., 1920, p. 103). A later note<br />

in Num. Chioti., 1920, pp. 277-8 by M. P. Vlasto, shows this to be a misreading<br />

of Garrucci's.<br />

mented at back with stars, earring and necklace with pendant :<br />

linear border.<br />
