Roughly 253 foreign film crews came through Tr<strong>in</strong>idad<br />

Opportunity For Investment:<br />
The ma<strong>in</strong> area for <strong>in</strong>vestment <strong>in</strong> the Film Industry <strong>in</strong><br />
Tr<strong>in</strong>idad <strong>and</strong> <strong>Tobago</strong> is the proposed development <strong>of</strong><br />
a sound stage that would provide facilities for the production<br />
<strong>of</strong> films, more sophisticated commercials <strong>and</strong><br />
game shows.<br />
Fish And Fish Process<strong>in</strong>g<br />
The domestic fish<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>dustry has been an economic<br />
contribu<strong>to</strong>r for over 200 years <strong>and</strong> <strong>to</strong>day encompasses<br />
a diversified range <strong>of</strong> activities.<br />
Fish-harvest<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>volves large <strong>and</strong> small opera<strong>to</strong>rs<br />
target<strong>in</strong>g near shore <strong>and</strong> <strong>of</strong>fshore fish<strong>in</strong>g zones, with<br />
vessels that range from small five-man pirogues <strong>to</strong><br />
large trawlers which put <strong>to</strong> sea for months at a time.<br />

specialise <strong>in</strong> boat build<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> repair, <strong>and</strong> specialty<br />
supply shops. However, the largest <strong>and</strong> most pr<strong>of</strong>itable<br />
onshore activity rema<strong>in</strong>s the fish process<strong>in</strong>g bus<strong>in</strong>ess,<br />
which cont<strong>in</strong>ues <strong>to</strong> export quality fish products<br />
<strong>to</strong> regional <strong>and</strong> <strong>in</strong>ternational markets.<br />
Opportunity For Investment:<br />
There are significant opportunities <strong>in</strong> the <strong>of</strong>fshore harvest<strong>in</strong>g<br />
