Since 1972, Florida Tech’s <strong>Patuxent</strong> Site<br />

has offered the working professional an<br />

opportunity to maintain professional and<br />

technical <strong>com</strong>petence while earning a<br />

graduate degree without career<br />

interruption. Students may choose from 11<br />

programs in Computer Science,<br />

Engineering, and Business/ Management<br />

with concentrations in Human Resources,<br />

Acquisition and Contracts, eBusiness,<br />

Information Systems and Operations<br />

Research. Courses are offered in a traditional<br />

format meeting once a week or via<br />

distance learning during a 15-week<br />

semester. For added convenience, all<br />

degree coursework may be <strong>com</strong>pleted<br />

through the <strong>Patuxent</strong> Site in two years or<br />

less. Florida Tech is accredited by the<br />

Commission on Colleges of the Southern<br />

Association of Colleges and Schools.<br />

Academic Programs<br />

(MHEC) to offer courses and degree<br />

programs at the <strong>Patuxent</strong> Site. These programs<br />

have been approved for payment of<br />

Chapter 36, Title 38, United States Code,<br />

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is<br />

an independent, non-sectarian, non-profit,<br />

coeducational university with a history<br />

dating to the early days of aviation. The<br />

university serves culturally diverse adult<br />

students motivated toward careers in<br />

aviation/aerospace, logistics, management,<br />

and safety. We have been at the NAS<br />

<strong>Patuxent</strong> <strong>River</strong> site since 1979 and are part<br />

of an extensive network of many<br />

extended campuses throughout the United<br />

States, Europe, and Asia. Embry-Riddle<br />

Aeronautical University serves civilian<br />

and military working adults in a<br />

non-traditional setting.<br />

To ac<strong>com</strong>modate the schedule of working<br />

adults, courses are offered during the<br />

evening hours and on Saturday mornings.<br />

Undergraduate courses are offered five<br />

times a year for nine weeks and graduate<br />

courses are offered four times a year for<br />

10 weeks.<br />

The <strong>Patuxent</strong> <strong>River</strong> Center offers the<br />

following programs: Bachelor of Science<br />

in Aviation Maintenance Management,<br />

Associate/Bachelor Degrees in<br />

Professional Aeronautics and Technical<br />

Management, with minors in Management,<br />

Logistics, and Safety. The University offers<br />

a Masters in Aeronautical Science with<br />

specialties in Aeronautics, Management,<br />

Safety, and Operations. In addition, the<br />

Master of Science in Management is<br />

offered on-line through the Distance<br />

Learning Program. Also, Embry-Riddle<br />

Aeronautical University offers certificate<br />

programs in Logistics, Safety, Supply<br />

Chain Management and Aviation<br />

Maintenance Technology.<br />

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is<br />

accredited by the Commission on colleges<br />

of the Southern Association of Colleges<br />

and Schools. All academic and certificate<br />

programs at the <strong>Patuxent</strong> <strong>River</strong> Center<br />

have been approved by the U.S. and<br />

Maryland Department of Veterans’ Affairs<br />

for veteran training.<br />

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is<br />

located at 21795B North Shangri-La Drive<br />

in Lexington Park and is open from 9 a.m.<br />

to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. (Closed<br />

for federal holidays.) Note: Onstation<br />

employees can access ERAU student<br />

services in Building 1489 from<br />

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. by appointment,<br />
