refuses to have sex with husband/partner (35.29%), if the wife burns the food (29.21%), and if the food
is not cooked (31.94%). It is also clear from the table that 38.35% of the respondents disagreed totally
with wife beating on all the questions raised which translates to people holding on to modern
views/ideas about the issue in question. About a fifth of the respondents were holding on to traditional
views/ideas regarding wife beating in the study (20.19%).
