Tasking Authority. On behalf of <strong>the</strong> DMS/CMS, <strong>the</strong> Chief of Integrated Support<br />

Services (CISS) exercises tasking authority over all assigned uniformed<br />

logistics personnel and enabling units comprising medical, signal, logistics,<br />

construction engineering (except combat / field engineers), transportation<br />

and movements units, including military transport helicopters within <strong>the</strong><br />

peacekeeping mission.<br />

Goods and Services. Common goods and services, include, but are not<br />

limited to <strong>the</strong> following:<br />

• Medical, environmental health and, if specified, dental services.<br />

• Construction and management of accommodation.<br />

• Civil engineering projects.<br />

• Environmental advice.<br />

• Geographical Information System (GIS) services.<br />

• Movement Control (MOVCON) and Air Transport services.<br />

• Surface transportation services including riverine and/or coastal transportation.<br />

• Installation and operation of communications and IT services.<br />

• Accounting, storage and distribution of assets, materials and o<strong>the</strong>r life<br />

support commodities like fuel, water, rations.<br />

Financial Authority. Only <strong>the</strong> DMS/CMS has <strong>the</strong> authority to commit mission<br />

financial resources for any purpose including making contractual<br />

arrangements for <strong>the</strong> use of local resources/services. All requirements for<br />

such resources/services should be addressed through <strong>the</strong> Joint Logistics<br />

Operations Centre (JLOC). These may include, but are not limited to, accommodation,<br />

POL (including aviation fuels), fresh rations, combat rations,<br />

water supply, equipment rental, public service facilities and civilian labour.<br />

7.4 : <strong>Infantry</strong> <strong>Battalion</strong> Support Structure.<br />

7.4.1 : Initial Provisioning and Stock Holdings. During <strong>the</strong> initial deployment,<br />

TCCs are to provide on a reimbursable basis initial provisioning of<br />

water, rations, fuel, oil and lubricants for a limited period, until <strong>the</strong> UN is<br />

able to provide <strong>the</strong>se consumables. All formed contingents are to bring<br />
