• Special Tasks. If tasked, train and equip one platoon to conduct special<br />
helicopter borne operations.<br />
• QRT. Maintain readiness to launch one self-contained reserve platoon as<br />
QRT within 30 minutes with integral transport to be deployed anywhere<br />
in <strong>the</strong> battalion AOR.<br />
• Local Reaction. Maintain “Local Quick Reaction” capability with a platoon<br />
to be ready to move within ten (10) minutes.<br />
• Immediate Action. The COB be capable of immediate action/response<br />
readiness at all times as per perceived threat. O<strong>the</strong>r than <strong>the</strong> guards on<br />
duty, <strong>the</strong> personnel of <strong>the</strong> COB be able to “Stand To” to deal with any<br />
threat in two (02) minutes.<br />
• TOB. Be capable of establishing a TOB with a composite platoon capable<br />
of sustaining for a specified duration using ei<strong>the</strong>r organic resource and/<br />
or with mission assets.<br />
• LRP. Be capable of undertaking LRP with a composite platoon for minimum<br />
seven (07) days within integral resources and for longer duration<br />
with mission support.<br />
• Joint Patrols. Undertake minimum two (02) composite joint patrols in<br />
a week (with mission police or civilian components) for specific mission<br />
or as part of outreach and engagement as per operational requirement.<br />
• Operational Activities. Be capable of establishing two (02) CPs and<br />
undertake four (04) Section level/two (02) Platoon level (or a mix of both)<br />
patrolling activity within <strong>the</strong> Company AOR in a 24 hours cycle as minimum<br />
operational engagement.<br />
• Situational Awareness. Be capable to maintain proactive situational<br />
awareness and tactical information database of <strong>the</strong> AOR with dedicated<br />
organic resources and additional battalion assets.<br />
• Protection. Be capable of protecting <strong>the</strong> COB, UN property and personnel<br />
from all kinds of physical threat by layered obstacles, sentry posts,<br />
and entry exit control and by fire and observation.<br />
• Mobility. Be able to move all operational elements and <strong>the</strong> Company<br />
Command Post on organic transport and Armoured Personnel Carriers<br />
(APC) to conduct robust mobile operations in <strong>the</strong> battalion AOR.<br />
• Equipment Profile. Have effective day and night observation, electronic<br />
surveillance and support weapon platforms for force protection for all<br />
operational elements.<br />
