• Baggage Entitlements for <strong>Battalion</strong> Personnel. The following summarizes<br />
personal baggage entitlements for military contingents:<br />
For 12 months of tour of duty <strong>the</strong> entitled personal baggage is 100<br />
kgs/0.6 m3 per person.<br />
For less than 12 months <strong>the</strong> entitled personal baggage is 45 kgs/0.3 m3 .<br />
• Loading. Passenger and/or cargo loading conditions:<br />
IATA safety rules apply to embarking passengers and/or cargo.<br />
Personal weapons may be carried and stowed in <strong>the</strong> aircraft hold.<br />
Limited small arms ammunition (class 1.4S only) may be carried and<br />
stowed in <strong>the</strong> aircraft according to IATA safety regulations.<br />
TCC shall provide passenger manifest, Cargo manifest and Dangerous<br />
Cargo manifest.<br />
• Movement by Airlift. The following information is required by <strong>the</strong> MCS:<br />
Place of embarkation, name and location of <strong>the</strong> airport of embarkation.<br />
Number of troops to be moved and dates <strong>the</strong> troops are ready for airlift.<br />
Point of contact in <strong>the</strong> TCC to coordinate <strong>the</strong> movement.<br />
• If cargo is authorized for airlift by DPKO/DFS, <strong>the</strong> following information<br />
is required:<br />
Complete and accurate cargo load lists using <strong>the</strong> UN stand ard format.<br />
Cargo readiness dates.<br />
Confirmation that drivers will accompany vehicles on <strong>the</strong> airlift.<br />
Complete Dangerous Cargo information on any of <strong>the</strong> nine classes of<br />
DG.<br />
Any requirement for ground transport at <strong>the</strong> destination airfield.<br />
Consignor details for <strong>the</strong>ir shipment.<br />
• Cargo Movement by Sealift. The following information is required by<br />
<strong>the</strong> MCS:<br />
Requirement for pre-carriage of cargo from unit location to <strong>the</strong> loading<br />
port.<br />
Preferred Seaport of Embarkation (SPOE).<br />
Date cargo is ready for collection at origin and/or loading at port.<br />
Complete and accurate cargo load lists using <strong>the</strong> UN stand ard format.<br />
Complete Dangerous Cargo information on any of <strong>the</strong> nine classes of DG.<br />
Requirement, if any, for passengers/supercargoes.
