Description Use OUTPUTIMAGEFORMAT <strong>to</strong> choose <strong>the</strong> format for images in your<br />

report output.<br />

Syntax OUTPUTIMAGEFORMAT={PNG|JPEG|JPG|GIF|BMP}<br />

Values<br />

■ PNG,JPEG,JPG Supported image formats when DESFORMAT value is PDF,<br />

HTML, HTMLCSS, or RTF<br />

■ GIF Supported image format when DESFORMAT value is PDF, HTML, or<br />

HTMLCSS<br />

■ BMP Supported image formats when DESFORMAT value is RTF<br />

Usage Notes<br />

■ This command line keyword overrides <strong>the</strong> setting of <strong>the</strong> REPORTS_<br />

OUTPUTIMAGEFORMAT environment variable.<br />

■ This command line keyword is not supported if <strong>the</strong> REPORTS_DEFAULT_<br />

DISPLAY environment variable is explicitly set <strong>to</strong> NO (default is YES). In this case,<br />

image rendering defaults <strong>to</strong> GIF for HTML, HTMLCSS, and PDF output, and BMP<br />

for RTF output.<br />

■ You must ensure <strong>the</strong> format that you specify matches <strong>the</strong> output type. For<br />

example, BMP only works for RTF output. It will not work for HTML, HTMLCSS<br />

or PDF output.<br />

The following command lines generate PNG images with HTML output:<br />

rwclient server=my_rep_server report=images.rdf destype=file<br />
